Formbags publishes its first Sustainability Report

post-3

Formbags has released its first Sustainability Report, a milestone that reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to responsible manufacturing and its ambition to embed sustainability at the heart of its future strategy.

The report—prepared in line with the new EFRAG VSME guidance—offers a clear picture of Formbags’ environmental, social and governance performance across its Italian operations. It brings together detailed data on energy use, emissions, waste, water, supply-chain standards and working conditions, while also outlining the company’s long-term goals: reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2030, progressing towards Net Zero, cutting landfill waste, expanding the circular-economy model and strengthening workplace safety, training and inclusion.

In his introductory letter, Jonathan Lloyd, President of Formbags S.p.A., writes:
“This Sustainability Report was born from a simple question: what impact do we want to leave? Companies can no longer just produce—they must listen, reflect and build value not only economically, but also socially and environmentally. For us, this is not a trend but a strategic choice.”

The report highlights several key achievements, including a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions over the past three years, a growing use of FSC-certified and recycled materials, the elimination of solvent-based processes, and major progress in circular-economy practices that allow by-products to be reused within the paper supply chain.

Equally, the document sets out future priorities: stronger ESG data management, further policy formalisation, increased supplier sustainability standards, and ongoing investment in people, safety and training.

A full copy of the Sustainability Report is now available. For further information or to discuss any aspect of Formbags’ ESG commitments, please contact the team.
